Today I went to Jb Hi Fi in Earlville and purchased a Samsung Galaxy S24+. I don’t know the sales person’s name but he had an accent…Canadian/American.
This guy, without a doubt demonstrated the best customer service I have experienced in a long time. Worth his weight in gold to his organisation! I hope he knows that.
Anyway, I would also like to add that the day before I was at the Cairns Central JB Hi Fi and I had the worst experience in a long time. I spoke to the sales person about buying the mobile and midway through the conversation he began to answer another customer’s question. He came back to me and I asked for the black S24+. He went out back and came back and placed it in front of me. I commenced to ask if he could help me set up an ESim and transfer contacts etc. but before I finished my sentence he rudely cut me off and said: ‘nah, nah mate, we don’t do any of that here’. I said: ‘OK mate, I thought you could assist me but it’s clear that isn’t the case As i did not want to be treated like that again i went to the Earville branch and it was fantastic!!!

This is an edited review: Appalling customer service was made good after a complaint and initial negative review. My elderly husband had made an effort to visit the store in person, with his wheelie walker, to buy a Christmas gift. He was told neither of the colours he requested were available and returned home with blah grey. Very disappointing for the intended recipient. When I looked online, EVERY colour was in stock at this store. This was confirmed when I rang up. The person serving my husband had not bothered to check the system or out the back for recently delivered stock. An 80 year old who has a hard time walking, had to make a 2nd trip to exchange them, and the store refused to even hold a pair for him to avoid the risk of a second wasted trip if they sold out. However, when he got there, he was offered a significant discount for the trouble.
Shout out to Alex on front desk!!!! Most efficient and friendly person to be served by. So many times customer service people make you feel you are inconveniencing them and I think we never give full credit to people that are genuinely happy and polite to customers. Bosses at JB should truly appreciate what a great employee they have there. Thank you Alex.
