this company runs a scam selling fake parts as genuine.

I ordered two battery packs for two identical laptops (alienware) the
posting on the website claimed they are NEW genuine DELL batteries. however out of the box both batteries failed. once connected to the laptop they would read as OK in bios, they would charge up to 100% but as soon as the power cable is removed, the laptop loses power. I looked closely at the labels and the marking is not 100% exact as original battery label. notice the image the letter I in ALIENWARE is not the correct thickness that alarmed me to a fraud.

so I opened up one of the batteries to check what is inside the box.
I discovered unmarked battery cells and the lack of the temperature sensor.

compared to the original defective battery having cells from LG model LGABE11865, and a temperature sensor located inside the package.

clearly these were a fake battery packs.

This company is a scam. I ordered (and paid top dollar for) an authentic laptop charger replacement. The day after I placed the order they emailed me and said “we’re out of stock on this item but can provide a suitable substitution”. I replied “No, I’ll wait for a restock, or if what I ordered isn’t available I’ll take a refund”. they said no problem, we’ll ship when stock arrives. a week later a receive a cheap knock off charger.
This company is selling cheap knock of parts as authentic replacements. Would not advise buying here.

I have had 2 very good experiences with laptop parts.ca finding suitable replacement parts for older computers. A keyboard for a laptop and a power supply for a server. Their website is top notch in terms of what you need to search to find what you need. For example “Dell R710 PSU” instead of squinting at part numbers and hoping you got the replacement part number right. Both times shipping was faster than anticipated (within the GTA).
Usually it’s “fast, good, cheap, pick 2”, laptop parts.ca exceeds this by being all 3!
