My elderly mom’s fridge stopped working so I was phoning around trying to find a replacement that wasn’t going to take weeks to get delivered and still at a reasonable price point. Darren was incredibly helpful in finding options at a cost lower than any of the big box stores. He also explained that he doesn’t carry certain major brands anymore because their quality has dropped significantly in recent years and he’s hearing from repair people that they are just not lasting. Good to know!

BUT then came the really amazing part…he started asking questions about Mom’s current fridge/what went wrong with it and ended up suggesting that she look into having it repaired. He explained that the repair would likely be far less than a new fridge and her old Maytag probably still has as many years left in it as some of the newer models. I couldn’t believe the level of honesty and care Darren demonstrated. He could have sold Mom a new fridge but he clearly kept her best interests in mind ahead of his own gain. I can’t say enough about his level of customer service.

He recommended Darcy’s Appliance Service so we arranged for Darcy to come have a look (another very nice man!). $147 later, the repair was complete and Mom was thrilled. If we ever need a new appliance or vacuum/vacuum repair we are definitely checking in with Darren first thing. He is a consummate professional and a wonderful human being. We just moved into our house and experienced trouble with our washing machine and dishwasher and Darren has given us part numbers, advice, and recommendations to help us out.
