From my initial phone call to Anthony earlier yesterday, to meeting him later in the day together with my much loved, but “dead” G5 Mac, I found him to be most helpful. Whist carrying out various tests on my computer, he also took the time to explain to me what he was doing, and why he was carrying out each test.

Unfortunately, in my case, after around 30mins, the final diagnosis was that the Motherboard had failed. He explained that it wouldn’t be economically viable for me to have the Motherboard repaired/replaced, and that it would be much cheaper for me to buy another working G5 off eBay or elsewhere on the ‘net, after which I would still have my original G5 (of reasonably hi-spec) to either use parts to upgrade the replacement, or to simply keep for spares.

Anthony also gave me a few hints, tips and workarounds which I was previously unaware of, and which may prove useful in the future. The final bill for all this? Nothing! He only charges when he is successful with the repair. He is obviously a true professional with a strong belief in Customer Care. I am recommending him to all my Mac-user friends, and of course, to YOU.

Oh, something else worth mentioning. Parking outside or very close to his premises is dead easy, with no yellow lines or parking restrictions! One other thing. he’s at number 15 (house number’s not mentioned on his website)

Stay far away from these cowboys, I paid an express fee to fix my IPhone 7 which had a smashed screen. Four days later whilst I was out of the country the phone began playing up hugely started sending people in my contacts pictures and messages! I returned to the store and had the phone fixed again (as a gesture of good will apparently) A month later the half the screen stopped working! After taking my phone to an apple certified shop I found that the inside of my phone was missing screws and had parts broken off of it vital parts at that. To me this was done maliciously not to mention the screen was a cheap Chinese copy that I could of got myself off of eBay. I’m disgusted to know that people are being mislead and that my hard earned money was basically thrown down the drain. DO NOT TAKE YOUR PHONE TO THESE PEOPLE.

Took my iPad in as the screen had an area that would not allow me to draw on it was around an inch in width, from top to bottom.
The shop was told about the problem, they had it for 2 days and admitted they hadn’t tested it. They were told this happens after 20 mins of it being used. They then said the battery was fine, and the screen was ok. When asked if they had tested it after having it on for twenty mins, they said no.
I despair.
Any advice were I can find a decent Mac repair shop.
