The guy is nice enough, clearly doing his best, but he’s messed up my laptop after taking forever to “fix” it and now I can’t use it

Took it in originally for a broken hinge, got it back later having been glued to “fix” it. Ok, whatever as long as it works. Bit annoyed because I can glue it myself.

About a week later glue wears down and same issue is happening. Take it in again and leave it with him for a week to replace the hinge. Go to collect it, get told he’s fixed the one I took it in for but the other side needs fixing too so need to wait another week. I take it away with me as I use it for work and very quickly realise the “new” broken hinge is the one I took it in for, so he apparently replaced the wrong side.

Take it back in again to get it fixed, pick it up again a couple days later and hinge appears to finally be fixed. Yay! Now I can get on with all the stuff I’m behind on! Nope. Since getting it back it will no longer charge. I have attempted changing the fuse in the charger and still doesn’t work so definitely a laptop issue. Worked fine before taking it in.

I refuse to take it back again, just going to have to buy a new one.

If you’re going to use this guy, I would approach with caution and make sure you’re checking his work. I’ve essentially paid for my laptop to end up broken to the point I can’t use it.

I took my macbook pro into them in August becuase it was glitching out and crashing. After a couple of days inspecting the device on the 15th I paid PS85 to have it repaired. I took it away a couple of times when they said it was resolved but it kept crashing and shutting down. OK, fair enough, it’s an old device. After a while I hadn’t heard anything yet, I called the brother and co-owner of the business who told me they were going on holiday that day (wouldn’t have found out otherwise).

I then waited over two weeks and didn’t hear anything back from them. I eventually went into the shop and was told that the issue had been resolved, and that they had been waiting for a part to come in. That may be true, but I also know they went on holiday in interim. In total I spent almost a month without my device I use for work and business. So yeah, overall, wouldn’t recommend.

They will do everything to sell you bad elelectronic and never help with the problems they hided and lied only for the money!!!
I spent my PS300 for iPhone and after one weeks had all the times problems and they wanted money for any repair. They cracked my screen and said it was me !!!
