I am a hobbyist and frequent Mecca a few times a year. I do my homework before I go in to be sure I ask for the right parts. I usually have a good experience but the clerk that served me today treated me like I had no idea what I was talking about and even insinuated that the parts I was asking for were outdated. I’m not sure what their regular clientele is but I certainly would not recommend them for anything other than fuses or wire as they are definitely not into electronics. I will be shopping with Mouser or Numark from now on as they apparently don’t need my business. It really helps if the person behind the desk actually knows what they are selling.
Kim and Dan have been so awesome to my family and I for probably 4 decades. They are great people with tons of knowledge, and we consider them friends. My dad had a business for 40+ years and Mecca was one of our go to suppliers, and even though the business has been closed for about 8 years they we still go pick up parts, and components there and it is really nice to talk to them every time. It’s folks like them that make return customers you guys rock!
Decent service, they bring in Wera tools which is a big plus as far as I know no one else brings in quite as much.
Definitely the best place in town for small electronic parts but I’ve more often than not needed to put in an order to get stuff. Not stuff I would expect a shop to actually stock mind you, definitely the best place to look in PG for that sort of thing for sure.
