We went to buy some Bose loudspeakers today as they showed up on Mediamarkt as being the same price as else-where online and in stock in the local Mediamarkt in Neubrandenburg.
To our delight the grey version of the speaker had a 200Eur ‘Schnaepchen’ paper tag glued to it and we choose that instead of the anticipated black one.
Walking to the checkout the lady there clocked the device at 279Eur – and asked for the paper tag we were referring to – so I went back to pickup the speaker with the said tag and returned to the checkout.
Now the rude part started. The lady there accused me of having moved the tag that clearly stated the Product name and the 200Eur discount from a cheaper product to this one.
I had to assure her that I did not do such a thing. This ended up in a discussion that I was not willing to have and decided to leave and buy the product in another shop.
Certainly an interesting way not to generate revenue with your store…

All products are not available but you can order it here. Still i find the shop bit pricey. While shopping keep looking for discounts. From personal experience i would recommend buying costly products in Christmas or new year offers
Not that great customer service in this place. They can see you wondering around looking for a while and the sales personnel will act as no one is there… MediaMarkt does not need any more sales? I wonder…..
