The store is somewhat similar to Best Buy. It has a good collection of phones, cameras and computer equipment as well as many common home appliences.
For certain items and especially those that are in a more elevated price range it can be preferable to examine the product and purchase it in a local store. The MediaMarkt provides a large number of products that are openly displayed and can thus be more closely examined before making a decision.
It is always a good idea to be well informed before buying a product and do some research at home as the information provided by the salespersons can be lacking.
I am looking to buy an Oven. I was there 10 mins. and nobody cared until Herr Muller came. I will buy only when he is there. Sometimes there are sales personnel to find, sometimes rare to find one. If you find one, they are professionals and service oriented.
Very disappointing experience. The store was messy and filthy. We waited 20 minutes for someone to help us, as all the items were mixed up with empty boxes. I live right next to this store but I’d rather drive 30 minutes and go to the Kaiserslautern location.
