I previously posted a bad review about this place after they refused to fix my laptop and held onto it for almost 2 weeks. Was very disappointed with them, and disappointed with how I was treated as a customer.

A few days after posting the review, the owner – Daryl, whatsapp’d me threatening to take me to court if I didn’t delete the review. Interestingly, I noticed that Daryl had also replied to other people’s reviews threatening to also take them to court if they didn’t delete their review. I went back and forth with Daryl on whatsapp messages, trying to find a solution to the scenario in the most reasonable way. However, Daryl is extremely unreasonable, and rude, which made it hard to come to a conclusion.

Eventually, Daryl said he would give me my deposit back if I deleted the review, to which I agreed as I just wanted him to leave me alone and move past this. Once I deleted the review, he was again rude, and 10 days later still hasn’t sent me my money back and has been ignoring my messages. So I’ve decided to post this, and Daryl you can keep my “measly” PS50, I’d much rather people know who you and your company are really like.

In conclusion, please avoid using this company. I wish I went to Currys or one of the other bigger business’ to get my laptop repaired. If I’m being honest, I wouldn’t be surprised if half the 5 star reviews have been written by Daryl or relatives. The lack of customer service and empathy fills me with no confidence that any of those “good” reviews are real.

Quickest service ever, I literally walked in the shop and it was done before I could sit down!! The whole turnaround was incredible and staff were polite. I messaged on their instagram asking if they still do a service I got done on my old laptop 6 years ago, they quickly responded yes and told me to come in. Within an hour I was there, service complete, and back at my desk (I work 30 mins away haha so not exaggerating when I say the service was done in minutes).

Super quick and affordable service and amazing staff. Apple had estimated that fixing my laptop with water damage was going to cost me over PS500 (up to PS700), while at Minko’s Macs it was done for PS230 and in only two days. Everyone was really nice and I had received a diagnostic and estimated fixing cost within two hours from leaving my laptop at the shop. I can’t recommend it enough!
