Went in for a simple phone exchange via warranty from Google. Was told when I dropped it off that there “might be physical damage” when I told him several times there isn’t any he said “it could be physical damage”
Called 1 hour later and surprise surprise I was told there was physical damage and I had to pay money. I called Google and they asked for a work order receipt.
When I picked up my phone and asked for said work order receipt he panicked and started typing on the computer and told me to wait five mins. He gave me a work order receipt with the time being started three minutes ago.
Absolutely infuriating.
I went to the Mobile Klinik in the mall and they knew straight away the very common issue with my Google phone and ordered a new one right away.
How can two stores from the same company offer such complete opposite customer service?
Save your time and go straight to the one in the mall.

Went into the store after talking to Telus over the phone and they advised I can visit any store and they will repair my screen. Once i entered the employee started telling me that I need to call Telus and they need to send an email to the location to advise that I will be visiting and that will take 2-3 days to do. During this whole time the rep kept his head phones and kept telling me I need to listen to the steps or he can’t help me. So i called Telus back and the phone rep was confused on what was happening and called the location and told them I am coming and all of a sudden the store rep could help me. The rep was to busy to on his phone and listen to his music to help.

I had a terrible experience with this service. They are scammers who are just after your money. The staff were rude and unprofessional. I took my Google Pixel in for repair under warranty, but they refused to cover it and told me to contact Google customer service instead. After I did that, they still insisted it wasn’t sufficient. I was really frustrated by this point.

I decided to go to another mobile repair shop, and they immediately solved the issue and repaired my phone. This place is a total scam–they just want to grab your money. If I could, I would definitely file a complaint with Google’s main branch about their poor service.
