I had 3 main cases of visit in this place, all of them related to replacing the screen of my OnePlus 6T. After the first case, despite some complications, I gave 5 stars. Unfortunately, after the next 2 cases and going over all of them I feel obliged to lower my rating to 3 (was even considering 2).
It’s gonna be a lot of text but here I’m describing all of the said cases:
1. September 2022, terribly cracked screen, paid PS90. My new screen seemed smaller due to a big gap at the bottom, the fingerprint was not working and the phone was malfunctioning. It turned out that the screen was definitely not the correct one, perhaps it was one for OnePlus 6, not 6T. Anyway, I got it replaced again (obviously, free of another charge). On this occasion, the fingerprint issue turned out to be had been caused by residues of glass from the previous screen. Since then, the phone was perfect. Despite the initial oversight with the glass residues, I still considered the “repairing person” (Khalid) to be reliable and precise (and I still want to believe that he actually is).
2. February 2023. My screen was uncracked but was flickering. Got it replaced free of charge (within the 1-year warranty coming from the previous repair). However, the new screen met the same faults as the wrong one from the first repair. Also, in the meantime, the screen supplier detected that the previous screen actually had a damage in the back (not visible in the front). The damage must have been caused by an accident that I had shortly after the first successful replacement (from the first case) – in the accident I cracked the back of my phone (the screen flickering started soon afterwards). I had yet another replacement for which I had to pay PS35, though, it all was probably only the supplier’s charge due to the damage coming from my side. This time the new screen was correct and my phone was perfect once again.
3. January 2024, cracked screen, paid PS80. 3rd case and again it started with my new screen malfunctioning the same way as in the previous cases, and again seemed to have a bit bigger gap at the bottom compared to the correct screen. I heard, though, that according to the supplier the replacement screen was clearly marked as OnePlus 6T. Because of the issues I had it replaced again with a screen from another supplier, and it turned out just as faulty. I heard that these screen replacements are everything what is left on the market as the phone is already a bit out of date (OnePlus flagship from November 2018), and that even other phone repair places would use the same suppliers. In my opinion, such replacements shouldn’t exist at all. The only option left was to look for an original screen. Of course, the case consisted of a few visits, when I would also usually ask about a possibility to fix the alert slider (one of the OnePlus’s characteristics) which was partly broken – I had to remind of it every time. As for the screen, the “contacting person” promised that he would be searching for the original one and would let me know soon, but I’ve never heard from him anymore. I haven’t even been reminding of it because I know it’s pointless. Over the visits, on one hand I was sometimes being suggested that maybe it was time to get a new phone, on the other hand, I was being assured that he was taking care of the issue, though I suppose it was eventually ignored (same as the petty thing with the alert slider).
The people are nice and working quick but I wouldn’t go back and wouldn’t recommend to friend . such a shame time and money I spend going there and back ,and end up buying new ,I would choose original from beginning if they wouldn’t reassure me non original was excellent aswell
Opted for ‘very good’ replacement screen for my Huawei – shade over PS40 cheaper than the fully authentic version.
Every bit as good as original screen – work carried out smoothly, speedily and great value.
Fortunate to live near to the repair centre; but would be willing to travel, were that not the case – definitely worth it.
Recommend 100% and will be returning with any future mobile phone issues.
