I had a good experience with mobile solutions over a year ago with a screen repair. However I took my phone in with a slight crack a few months ago and after waiting in Canton while the chap I was dealing with sent someone off to get the correct screen. We were ready to come home some 45 minutes later but it wasn’t fixed. Told to return in the morning (Sunday) and on arriving just after 9.00am was given my phone back with 2 elastic bands around it and told to leave them on for 1 to 2 hours. I thought the work looked a bit shoddy with bits of glue and a bit of the workings showing but I had other things to think about as my mother was ill at the time. Over the months since sometimes on a call I found that callers couldn’t hear me but I could hear them & either me or them would terminate the call and ring again. It’s now become so bad no-one can hear me on calls. I’ve tried everything to fix this and restore sound from my phone to callers but to no avail. I’ve been told this happens with the wrong or badly fitted screen. I went to this repair shop in good faith and was even happy to return the next day, but I was hugely let down and remain bitterly disappointed.

I decided not use the phone repair stores in Barry as they said that camera replacement on my phone was risky and if they damaged the screen I would have to pay for a replacement.

I would have been happy paying a little more for the peace of mind that the repair won’t end up costing me 4 times as much.

It didn’t appear that the technician physically damaged the screen but unfortunately after the camera replacement the corner of the display went black.

I felt bad asking for the shop to cover the cost of a whole new screen but was offered compensation.

I was worried at first as initially the member of staff kept explaining how the damage wasn’t his fault but I understand that he may have been suspicious as he couldn’t see this when I first gave him the phone as that part of my Lock Screen was black anyway.

Took my samsung A54 in because it randomly became unresponsive and wasn’t charging, turned out to be a charging port issue, they took the back off which cracked as its tricky to dissemble and replaced it for free. I would highly recommend this repair shop, friendly, honest quick and such reasonably priced. Thank you so much
