I went to Mobile Zone to buy a protective case for my new phone. They didn’t have any in stock so ordered one for me.

The case took nearly a week to arrive. When i picked it up, the employee put it on my phone for me. And THEN they told me it was a case for a different model, that they couldn’t get a case for my model of phone.

The new case interferes with the volume buttons (the volume turns on and up to max volume all on its own, and frequently) and makes it impossible to use my fingerprint to unlock the phone. It is many small annoyances that add up to be a big frustration.

The employee should have refunded my money and instead was dishonest and left me with a very unsatisfactory experience. I feel like i got scammed and will never use this business again.

Update: i have changed my rating from 1 star to 4 star. Thank you to the owner for replying to my review and correcting the situation. The employee i saw today was helpful and polite.

Best Cell phone repair shop iv been to. He was able to replace my s20 screen on 15 minutes notice and stayed after his store closed to do so. I did offer him $50 extra to stay late and he gave me exceptional service. On top of replacing my screen, I got a brand new battery. Which I understand is supposed to come with the screen, however most shops save the battery to be resold and replace your screen with your old battery.

On top of that, he replaced the back side of my phone where my camera lense was smashed out for a very low additional charge. Without asking, he noticed my charge port was not working well and fixed it for me without me asking free of charge.

Very honest, professional and knowledgeable repair shop. Anywhere that can repair a motherboard knows what they are doing and when you couple that with honesty and integrity, there is no other cell phone shop I will visit from now on.

I called to get the back of my screen repaired the day of and we agreed on $120, once I got there he said now he had to go to Richmond to service it and it would cost an extra $30 but I negotiated down to $140 wish wasn’t cool since we agreed on the original $120 over the phone but since I was in a rush to get it fixed it didn’t matter. I returned later that day to my phone being fixed and he sold me a case aswell. I noticed shortly after that there is a spacing of about 1/16th around the edge so it doesn’t fit perfectly, probably just a cheap back panel compared to the factory. Within a week it had already cracked without ever removing my case. Then of course the case falls apart shortly after. It’s unfortunate because they were very friendly but feeling like I got ripped off abit so take this information how you will. Will update with pictures later.
