Very disappointing experience.
Brought a TV with internal light problems, they fixed the projector but broke the clips of the plastic shell so after a few days the whole screen started sliding downwards. Brought it back and was told that I probably caused the problem myself but that they would still fix it.
Two weeks later I was told that it has become unfixable and that they’d offer me a same brand TV that had the same specs and that was mint but that’s a bit smaller.
Came back, the TV in question was very low spec compared to mine (not even 4K), was way smaller in the low 40 inch and the screen was defective (had horizontal scan lines in the middle of the screen) to which I was told that I’m seeing stuff and that every employee on floor sees it perfectly fine (added photos of said defect).
Felt I’m getting scammed so I asked for a refund. After arguing, was told to go back home and that they’d fix this situation. Three hours later they called me back to get refunded and they ditched me my old now completely busted TV and told me I’d have to pay them for disposing of it. So I had to bring it myself to BestBuy (no one even helped load it in the car).

Conclusion:
60$ wasted on troubleshooting fees (non refundable)
295$ on repair fees (that were refunded)
6 trips to this workshop
a month and a half of wait time
will NEVER try having a TV repaired ever again

This place is a total scam. Plus, they only accept cash.

In brief, I went to fix my headphones, I was charged a 60$ “Cash” on entry, handed my item saying that they’ll call back in a couple of days after they assess it. I called the week after because I haven’t heard from them and they told me to expect a call the same day. They called me saying that my repair will cost a total of 100$ + tax and that they have already done it so somehow I had no choice but to pay for the repair that is almost the price of the item itself. Long story short, I asked if there’s a guarantee at least, they said I gotta come back and speak to the technician about that, I took the headset and went home, plugged them in my laptop and 2 minutes after they stopped functioning again.

A great experience overall. I came in from Ottawa to service a Clairtone 7980 boombox. It is very hard to find electronic shops in Ottawa who will tackle this type of work anymore. Timing and expectations were as promised. Two weeks to diagnose/estimate and two weeks to repair. Upon pick up there was one remaining issue that was discovered; Steve and his technician repaired it within two hours. Very happy and great people to deal with.
