Over the past few days, I have had the absolute worst customer service experience of my life with Mr Fix.
I went there to get my screen repaired and got charged a very clearly above market value price (looking online it looks like they are PS30-PS50 more expensive than other repair shops) however as this was the only walking shop distance and i was without my car this weekend I reluctantly agreed to pay being told it would be completed on Saturday.
I go on Saturday and am told it is not repaired yet and actually it will be completed by Sunday Morning. I then go on Sunday Morning and get told it’s not ready and to call at 4pm later to confirm it is ready (my phone is broken so a useless option).
I call off a friends phone at 4pm and they advise me that the phone is ready but that they are shut?! I make the point that they specifically told me to call at 4pm, no apology, no empathy, could not be less interested in their appalling customer service. They advise me to come in when they open at 9am on Monday.
I come in at 9am on Monday and the store is not open…
20 minutes later their employee arrives and slowly opens the shop. I tell him I am here to pay for my phone. He informs me that they actually have not got my phone with them and it is in the warehouse and will arrive shortly. I then actually spot my phone in the draw and I discover that the phone has not been repaired.
TWO DIFFERENT EMPLOYEES COMPLETELY LIED TO ME ABOUT REPAIRING MY PHONE!!!
At this point, am expecting the mother of all apologies after two employees bare-face lie to me… No. No apology for the time wasted, for the lies. The employee seemed genuinely shocked when I took my phone from him and told him there was no way I was trusting them again. As if lying to your customers repeatedly is normal behaviour. Poor service from 3 separate employees so its clearly not a rogue employee. AVOID AT ALL COSTS
I went to get the battery replaced in my phone, I paid a deposit and was told the battery would be delivered within a week and to come back in then, I came back on the agreed date but the battery wasn’t there so I was told to come back again in a few more days, I did but it still wasn’t there and I was told to come back the next day.
This time it was finally there but after leaving my phone with them for a while i returned only to be told that the battery they ordered didn’t work with my phone, what a waste of time!
To top it off they clearly took my phone apart and didn’t use an adhesive when putting the back cover back on, I can actually lift the back cover off with my fingernails which shouldn’t be possible.
Don’t trust these cowboys with your expensive devices!
Update: I just replaced the battery for myself and it turns out that they never actually attempted to replace it, I could tell because one of the small internal screws had a security sticker on it that had to be broken to get at the battery, I suspect they tried to remove the back cover, couldn’t get it off (it was a bit tricky) and then just lied to me.
I have given them my details numerous times and I have been constantly fobbed off saying my iPad will be delivered to me. I have still not received it back, the manager is uncontactable and I do not know what is the next course of action.
