Update to my previous review: I’ve just been in to have my phone looked at; as in my previous review the phone speaker wasn’t working. The gentleman at the counter refunded me the ten pounds which I thought was very thoughtful and made up for the accident with the speaker. He was very thorough when checking my phone.
I learned an interesting fact that our phone has two speakers. He called my phone, checking the first speaker and then I played a tiktok video to test the second speaker (I’m probably butchering the terminology here) and that’s where the problem was. He replaced the speaker twice and it still wasn’t working and I figured it was permanently damaged until the gentleman at the counter did some phone witchcraft thing and it was fixed! (He did actually explain but I don’t remember….something involving air and my speaker. )

So I definitely think after all that he deserves a 5 star review. I would like to thank them again for fixing my phone and for fixing the issues.

Oh! And the vibration is fixed too.

Original review: Went in for a touch screen issue and turned out to have old water damage. The gentleman at the counter then told me it would be an extra ten pounds on top of the 95pounds. I’m not too upset about that as I understand it needed to be repaired. What I am upset about is my speaker suddenly not working and my vibrate mode acting off. And I know this wasn’t caused from the old water damage as that was working perfectly until the repair and so was the speaker. I know this because I was watching tiktok when the phone stopped responding to touch, when I was turning my my phone on and off, turning down the sound. The vibration was working as well.

However I’m glad to have a working phone and would like to thank them for fixing it so quick.
I’m taking two stars away for the damage because at 105 pounds i would expectmy speaker to still be functioning.

The GOOD:
– Had a new screen for a OnePlus 5T in stock and was able to do a same-day repair/replace.
– Replacement was done within 4 hours.
– Very friendly and good opening hours on a weekend.

The NEUTRAL:
– It was expensive; about 35% more than shops slightly outside of town. However, those shops also didn’t have the screen in stock.

The BAD:
– Nowhere to park nearby if you have to drive in.
– The screen developed a crack only a week after replacement and the warranty clearly says it does not cover cracks.

This phone with original screen lasted 3 years and only cracked when it was dropped onto a hard surface from several feet up.

The new screen only lasted 1 week and seems to have cracked after a drop from a couple of feet onto the soft carpet. Our phones drop like that all of the time and never had a problem with original screens.

**Thanks to the owner for the reply. Our phones drop all of the time from a few feet onto a bed or onto the carpet and it’s never been a problem with original screens. It seems the replacement screen is of much lower quality than the original, which is a shame as we would have just gotten a new phone instead.

If you’re needing a screen repair please avoid! One of the staff members was particularly rude after doing a sub par job and refusing to give a partial refund. A formal complaint has been sent and Will be reporting them to trading standards and the Ombudsman.

*edit to add to response. Had you stopped raising your voice and interrupting when we explained. We had just come back from the Apple Store and they had informed us that the case for the phone wasn’t bent as you claimed and that the error was entirely down to the replacement of the screen, which you had done the work on. In fact it was the Apple Store genius that had suggested we return to you to request a refund as you’d done such a such par job and your colleague even admitted that the screens you replace with are thicker than industry standard. Since you have replaced it the phone is not working as it should.
