You know that sinking feeling that you get when your computer starts to play up?

I had this happen twice with me.

Once for a recurring fault on a new computer and the entire OS of Windows 11 completely failed, plus, the incremental backup was also corrupted; and then a few months later when the hardware developed a fault.

On the first occasion Simon and OwlTech came to the rescue. Within two days I had the computer back, a brand new OS installed, and it was working fine. I do not store data on my local C:/ drive, and therefore all I had to do was install the software, and I was back up and running.

On the second occasion, unusually the RAM developed a fault. I ran some checkers and it was showing a huge number of errors.

I rang Simon. He ran some checks. He then rang me a day later and said that it was definitely the RAM.

I asked him if he can order some more. He advised me that it might be cheaper if I order it direct, from the manufacturer, and get this delivered to him.

This I did, and someone was in to sign for the RAM the next day.

Simon fitted the new chips, ran the tests, and bang, I collected the machine that evening.

I cannot recommend OwlTech and Simon highly enough. He goes above and beyond the line of duty, and the speed of response (though I understand that he will not always be able to respond as quickly), is second to one.

For the SME and micro-business, that does not want the hassle of dealing with a large IT support firm, OwlTech are about the best that have come across.

After my son dropped my HP Spectre laptop I found myself in PC World as it was not charging. I was faced with a minimum 2 weeks without my laptop. I phoned Simon at Owl Tech in desperation. 3 hours later after he had checked all the components and reassembled the laptop it was handed back to me fixed. This saved me at least two weeks in time and even saved me money over the basic fee for a check up and data back up charged by PC World. No criticism of the service offered by PC World but definitely a huge recommendation for Owl Tech!
