I’ve had a poor experience with the trade-in department in Burgess Hill. I received an instant quote online and proceeded with this assuming a courier would come the next day to collect the lens. The DPD courier failed to turn up as the collection was never booked and therefore I had to contact Park Cameras and then they manually booked the collection service. The lens was collected and delivered the next day but then sat with their inspector for a while until again I had to chase them on email and phone for a final quote. Then eventually I received a anonymous email saying the lens was valued at PS0 with no explanation or information on what to do next. I would have expected a phone call at the very least considering the time and effort for both parties involved. I assumed this was a mistake as the lens was in excellent condition. I had to chase them again, this time by telephone and the courteous person from sales was equally confused with the situation as he couldn’t find any information on the system. He then proceeded to message someone in the background and then later that day I was called back to say they didn’t want the lens. I asked Park Cameras to return the lens and provide tracking details but yet again, no response to any of my communications. My poor review score is purely on the customer experience which I found to be very lacking. It seems to be an issue with the trade-in department as the sales team tend to be very helpful and friendly. Perhaps some training is required for the valuation team on how to interact with customers. By the way, I decided to move forward with MPB who quoted an equivalent price for the lens. I’ll be using them more going forward.

The customer service received from Michael and his team were excellent. As a long term canon user I was hesitant to move from full frame down to the OM system but it was exactly the right move as advised. I couldn’t be happier with my new set up and am happily practicing in my garden before venturing out further.
I traded in my used kit and received payment in my bank within 3 days. Prices offered were fair and omitted all the faff that comes with listing online. Job done
