Unfortunately I have to write a bad review for this place. Although Mark and his colleagues are very pleasant, I do not recommend taking your Macbook to be repaired here. Over the course of 4-5 months, after explaining there was water damage, they did not only misdiagnose the problem (saying it was a burnt out part), they did not resolve the problem fully – some of the keys still don’t work 100% and the whole keyboard feels loose (even though they replaced the original keyboard for free because of the mistakes they made). Furthermore, I have now found a visible dent on the front of the laptop, where they have obviously prised it away when trying to fix it. I don’t want to take it back again, after not having it for so long due to their errors. I was initially told it would be repaired after 2 weeks, which I consider to be a reasonable time to wait for parts etc. But 4-5 months is too long, especially when I had already explained what the problem was, only for it to be misdiagnosed and not fully repaired properly and then damaged to boot. I don’t usually like to write bad reviews, esp for small businesses, but I think it is only right that I warn people as to me, these issues are school boy errors and I now have a damaged Macbook.

Edited to respond – I was not told the supplier sent the wrong trackpad, which caused the shop’s initial delay – I think you would agree, communication is key. The only reason there was a delay on my part in bringing the laptop back, was because I was on holiday for 3 weeks and I was forced to buy a new laptop, due to the initial delays. So when I brought the one that you had ‘fixed’ back, I didn’t turn it on for a week. The damaged keys, were definitely NOT caused by the spill. The spill was ONLY on the trackpad and I know this because I caused the spill, which was not even a sip of my drink – it was a tiny bit of water. ALL of the keys worked before I brought it to you – my only concern was the trackpad. And there most DEFINITELY no dent in my keyboard, further, the first time I took it back, there were screws missing!! I would never have taken the time to write this review, had I thought at any point, it was me that caused the dent, as that would be grossly unfair, to you as a small business. It’s a shame that you are now lying about the situation and causes me to now advise the general public, to only take you devices here AT YOUR OWN RISK!!

I had an issue with my Lenovo legion 5 where the power button would not work essentially.

They took it in and gave me a call back a few days later to tell me it was fixed and ready to collect. I was nervous at first due to other shops quoting me PS160-PS400 to fix my issue. One shop had told me they opened up the laptop and told me the switch on the motherboard was split in half which turned out not to be the case. Total price came to just over PS40 with thermal paste reapplied for me.

It turns out that the laptop had a build up of dust. Even if the laptop had more serious issues I felt very comfortable leaving it in their hands and I will 100% be using them again for any technical needs.

Sometimes i go in hust to see them.
For an independant company to survive all these years with the cureent economic system it is amazing and goes to show how muvh busniess these boys have.
Robin always makes the time to find me the parts i need and make sure im getting the most for my money.

Quite simply PC Tech Centre is the place to go for your computer needs. They dont speak tech so you can actually understand what your being told and if that fails they will show you.
No job is to big for these lot.
