I’ve had quite an old laptop that I really wanted to get fixed (sentimental value more than anything else). It’s been in 2 Bromsgrove repair shops previously and one another person to have a look and they said it’s unrepairable due to some motherboard fault (I’m not really tech savvy but that’s what I’ve been told). I kept this laptop 5 more years in my drawer thinking that one day maybe I’ll find someone who would like a little challenge. And I did! Phil knew that I was told the laptop is unrepairable but said to bring it anyway. Long story short I’ve had one evening phone call that my laptop is fixed! I couldn’t believe it! Not only I’ve got all my photos from years ago back but also fully working laptop. The cost of the repair wasn’t even half of what I thought it will be. Just to say that I’ve paid someone before to have a look and paid PS30 to be told that it’s impossible to repair. So save yourself money and time and go to someone who actually knows what they’re doing! I just can’t fault Phil. And will recommend his service to absolutely everyone who needs any IT repair/service. Thank you.

I asked ‘Redditch Recommendations’ who I should ask to look at my laptop. Someone reputable, who would give me an honest appraisal, not cost the earth and could give a quick turnaround as I use my laptop daily. Phil at PCX had the most votes, so I gave him a call. I discussed my concerns and problems and was able to drop off my laptop the same day. Later that evening I received some WhatsApp messages/videos from Phil showing me the inside of my laptop and the cause of some of the issues (the staples were definitely not helping!!) together with a cost to rectify the problems. Later the following day I was actually able to collect it – cleaned, updated, running smoothly and definitely faster. Phil even gave me a few handy hints about using the keyboard that I had no idea was even possible.
I will definitely be holding on to Phil’s number and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him. He will certainly be my ‘go to’ IT guy in the future.
