I needed to repair my iPhone 7 Plus.
It’s no longer my primary iPhone as I had to purchase a new one for obvious reasons.
I chatted to a very helpful male rep at the shop who was able to give me a reason why my phone was not charging in a very short time.
The verdict; my battery was only charging at just over 70% which I understood was not drastic but certainly not useful.
We agreed to a new battery & a new screen as my phone had suffered many landings on hard surfaces over 7 years.
We agreed on a time, I was in town & it suited.
All stories do not run smoothly, I await the new battery still.
In the meantime I inquired about an iPad as I considered the purchase worthwhile but unsure of the amount I wanted to spend in relation to my requirements.
Again fantastic information teasing out the pros & cons of each unit.
I decided to go up a model as my iPhone track record is a little more than 7 years.
I know my iPad would also be a long term purchase so decided to purchase beyond my present requirements.
As part of my discussion I also purchased a gadget that allows me to add my external hard drives from my dead MacBook Pro 2012 allowing me to view my old photo journey.
I cannot see on the iGear invoice the very clever assistants name who guided me patiently through all my questions & helped me make an informed decision with my purchase.
His name I do not recall but despite my iPhone repair not making my time frame, I was very impressed with his experience, knowledge & his ability to guide my purchase giving me confidence to choose.
I am happy to pass forward the recommendation to others to seek IT assistance at iGear as it was a most positive experience.
When my iPhone is repaired I will happily return & collect it knowing it was left at a quality store with quality staff. Needless to say in the future I will return for any other purchases I have in mind.

Brought in a iPhone 6 (bought new in 2018) for a new battery, and was recommended I also get the charge port replaced, so I did it as well. After the service for a new battery and new charge port, the reception of the phone only works in the middle of town, and not strongly. I brought the phone in to be looked at again because of the new reception issues. The guys at iGear had a look, said nothing was wrong, but there obviously is. The reception of the phone is so bad we then went and bought a new phone. Just great, pay for a new battery and charge port service and messed up the phone. Can still buy cases and cables, but I’m not trusting these people to service anything.
By the way, we live in town and before the service the phone’s reception was never an issue.

These guys are absolute legends, a couple months ago i had and issue with my phone, told them I worked remotely and really needed the phone fixed before i went out bush in a day or so. thinking it was a long shot, no they shuffled work around to accommodate my needs and went the extra mile to point me in the right direction for a new phone on how to sort an eSim as well for my upcoming motorbike adventure. Top bunch of guys and girls who will go beyond and above customer service.
