Phoned Prescots,told them that my son said the tv leds were failing.They picked it up, five days later i called to ask if it was ready to pick up,the girl on the phone said NO it would cost too much to fix and would be cheaper to buy a new one,there was no one i could speak to as they were putting aereals up in Preston that day.,TV is only 3 years old. Rang next day to ask when they would return it and asked the bloke what was wrong with it,he said all the leds have gone.I heard the girl in the background say,”we dont do LEDSs anyway.”.!!!! The same bloke had picked up my TV had charged me PS25 knowing he wasnt going to repLace the LEDS. I got the TV repaired and returned from the TV repairs shop near TINLINGS in PRESCOT PS90. Could have cost me hundreds if i had listened to PRESCOTS IN PEMBERTON.

Cannot speak too highly of this firm. Had a 9 years old Panasonic TV model No. TX-P46G20B which would not show picture even though the red light was on. The television also started making clicking noises every few minutes or so. Telephoned one TV engineer, who said that this was a common fault with Panasonic and that you could not get spare parts for it, he suggested that we get a new television. Before buying a new tv, decided to get a second opinion. Took it to Prescotts for them to have a look at it. They contacted me 3 hours later to say that the tv was fixed and ready for collection. All the tv needed was a factory re-set. The tv is now back home and working properly. Very helpful and honest family firm. Thank you for a job well done. John Troughton.

We tuck a TV in they had it for a day and they called us to say it needed a new power board and not worth fixing we could leave it and they would chuck it, I said no and collected it anyway, so they couldn’t fix it and sell it… anyway I tweeted Sharp as the TV was not old… i told them what the TV was doing and they said it was a software update so PS5 for a USB sent in the post straight from Sharp and the TV is fixed. So I’d double check or get a second opinion.
