I ordered a cheap laptop (less than $350) which was described as excellent condition. This is a reasonable description as long as you read it as ‘excellent for a second-hand computer’. The top and inside of the case were as-new, while the bottom had scratches and locations where the silver colour had worn off and exposed the black underneath – similar to my own work laptop which has been cared for. The screen had no scratches but some abrasions, like if it were sanded lightly in places. The abrasions are not visible when the screen is on and there is no glare. I don’t notice them in normal use. There were no black pixels.

The only software installed was Windows 11 which is all I wanted. None of the bloat that comes with new computers. I ran a malware check and it found nothing – I had no reason to worry but did it for the sake of this review.

Delivery was 5 business days after placing the order.

I ordered another laptop in 2015 and it lasted about three years which is what I expect from second-hand computers.

Lot of 1 star reviews so spread the word and protect others. Laptop I bought was actually in excellent condition and works perfectly. However, Dell warranty removed (could be for legit reasons) and when factory reset, it asks for Retail Admin pw. Stuck with this. Dell says it’s not them and needs to be sorted by Reboot IT. Doing a clean factory reset via USB also causes issues as no Windows license is picked up. Dell and Microsoft unable to assist. Not sure what dodgy license or other practices these guys are up to but I ended up with a unusable laptop and had to fork out again for a Windows license which this laptop was supposed to already have. Reboot IT just stop replying/don’t reply. Disgusting practice when people are already doing it tough these days. Sadly have to say pay a bit more and buy from reputable sellers.

I ordered an ‘excellent’ condition Lenovo ThinkPad from Reboot-IT, but it arrived with multiple marks and scratches on the screen. After reporting this to them and providing photos as requested, they eventually agreed to replace it. However, their response took so long that I had to purchase a new laptop from another supplier.

I then requested a full refund, which they assured me wouldn’t be an issue. I returned the laptop via Aus Post, and Reboot-IT received it the following day. Despite this, I have now been waiting over six weeks for my refund to be processed.

Customers should not have to wait this long for a refund. The poor customer service and lack of communication from Reboot-IT are unacceptable. I would not recommend this company based on my experience.
