A+++ experience at Restart and I doubt I will ever go anywhere else! I accidentally wrecked my laptop and Restart was the only place willing to attempt to fix it at a price I could afford as a student. I was not expecting to receive a fully functional laptop back due to Apple weirdness but I did and by some miracle some features are even better than before (and they even cleaned some weird stuff I couldn’t get off)! Customer service was the best I’ve received anywhere in years and possibly ever. Prior to charging the diagnostic fee the tech explained the process very thoroughly and gave very realistic expectations on what I quite likely would be picking up to ensure I wanted to proceed. Repair was about a week quicker than I was initially quoted and anticipating. Fair pricing and came back same price as quoted. The whole experience from initial phone call to pickup was perfect Since I was there I also had some other work done on other devices and I really appreciated how I was called to be informed the job would cost a bit more than initially quoted due to previous damage from being dropped (by me) that was discovered when opened that made the job more complicated. They also answered questions about another device I was having issues with. Great experience all around! Highly recommend. Officially one of my favourite businesses in Victoria. Brought my Fiancee’s Iphone 14 pro max today for a charging issue, was told that it would most likely need a replacement of the charge port with an estimate between $600-$800. We were in distraught since my partner has only had this phone for 1.5 years.

We went to different other shops and we were told the same thing but was quoted $200-$300 in replacement.

We then decided to go ahead with the repairs with BlackApple Cellular in Quadra and place an order for the part. Before they did, they checked everything for us and found out that the Wall charger was at fault for the no charge and that there was nothing wrong with the phone. So we ended up buying a $20 wall charger that fixed the charging compared to the initial $600-$800 we were quoted from Restart Computers Inc.

The reason I went to this place in the first place was because they were recommended by Apple.
But how come they couldn’t figure out a simple defect on the wall charger instead of quoting us out $600-$800 of repairs just before the New Years?

We brought in the Wall Charger too and the cable but they didn’t even bother checking.

We are extremely disappointed.
