We went in and was looking at what phone we wanted and then we asked for one no one was interesting in helping us, soon asking we got questioned about our intentions of buying a phone we then went and sat down went through the trade in price and got taken back to the phone displays to get told about pricing then went and sat back down and got told to open an app on our phone to make the payment in that time she had left us and was serving other customers my partner had to go over and get her back. She then reluctantly set the new phone up all she did was start the process I work in a phone company so luckily I knew what I was doing and helped my in-law finish setting up her phone and making sure she had everything as she wanted to do the bare minimum for us. She came back after about 25 minutes and questioned what I was doing then sat with us on her personal phone. If we hadn’t made the payment in the first instance with her leaving us we would have walked out and brought a phone from elsewhere with better customer service and people who actually care about their jobs.
When I purchased my Galaxy Fold, I was assured that the folding screen, a weak link in previous generations of the phone, was covered against failure by a two-year Samsung warranty.
The reality is VERY different. When my screen failed, the ‘technician’ at the Samsung Norwich store made any excuse not to honour the warranty. Her main reason for refusing the warranty repair was two minor blemishes on the phone’s spine. The spine was scratched early on in my ownership as the Samsung phone cover did not protect that part of the phone; it had no bearing on the failure, which happened much later.
The ‘technician’ could not explain why the blemishes could cause the screen failure; however, she refused to honour the warranty and demanded c. PS300 to repair the phone, a cost that the warranty should have covered.
