My Samsung S21 stopped charging and I couldn’t switch the phone on despite trying different sockets and chargers around the house. My phone was under warranty so I took it into Samsung who looked at the phone and said it couldn’t be fixed without even checking it properly. They tried to tell me that when you look at it from the side it is ‘bent’ probably due to impact. My phone has never been dropped and is in a protective case. My phone was not bent at all. They insisted this was the case and proceeded to demonstrate this to me by putting my phone flat on the table and tapping the edge so that the phone ‘wobbles’ which apparently means the phone is bent. Obviously the phone was going to wobble as I have a magnet on the back for use in the car holder so the back isn’t completely flat. We told them that they were clearly trying to fob us off as they didn’t want to fix the phone so they tried to prove they were right by getting a brand new phone to see if that wobbles on the table too as according to them a brand new phone is not bent so shouldn’t wobble on a flat surface (by this point I wanted to laugh it was so ridiculous). When they tested the brand new phone this wobbled too as well as the managers own phone when ‘wobble’ tested. They had no answer when I pointed out that theirs was also wobbling. We asked for the opinion of another manager who also agreed with the first manager that my phone was bent and could not be fixed under warranty. They said they would book an appointment for the next day but that they would have to wipe ALL my data and that it would be chargeable as it’s impact that has caused my phone to be bent. However my phone was clearly NOT BENT at all.

I decided to try Currys as that is where I purchased the phone from and guess what – they fixed it within 5 minutes! All it needed was a better charger! And my phone has been working perfectly for months now. The customer service was way better at Currys and the technician also found it very strange that Samsung had told me I had a bent phone and didn’t think that was the case at all. I can’t believe Samsung tried to fob me off by lieying, telling me my phone was unfixable and bent! Worst, unprofessional customer service from Samsung ever and their managers need better training!

Definitely not what Samsung used to be. I have been a Samsung user for almost two decades now using everything linked throughout the ecosystem, but when someone (me) is coming with a product (phone) where you can clearly see that is just a manufacturer issue or just a bad product from a lot (when sometimes can happen and I understand that) and the only answer which I got from them was that “I’ve been microwave my phone and is not their responsibility or fault” I was left speechless . I’m thinking of swapping everything to other ecosystem even if there is something new on the market, but they are serious, and they take responsibility for the mistakes they are doing.

Had to travel to Leicester to visit the Samsung store. Had a new phone (not from here though) and a few issues accured. It was well worth the journey, the young lady in the store was absolutely amazing!! As been an older lady technology isn’t my best, the issues got sorted and everything was good.
Very friendly staff, very polite and more so very very helpful.
