7/25/24 Cruise visitor to this lovely town of Weymouth. BUYER BEWARE. This place ripped my elderly husband off by charging him for an extra “so-called repair” service, unsolicited. Bought a cheap new cell phone cover for EUR19.99 then charged an extra EUR25 to correct a locked screen magnification which occurred while the Seller attached the new phone cover! I returned immediately to the owner (no other customers were present except him selling vaping supplies on the side?) to tell him he ripped my husband off. I went into the store initially and then asked my husband to “take a look” for a replacement phone cover. Unfortunately I didn’t accompany him and returned to the store within one minute immediately after this incident. When confronted, the Seller had the audacity to tell me he would give me a discount if I buy another product for my phone! He insisted on looking at my phone even after I told him my phone is fine and I don’t need anything. My husband said “I was just tired” and he didn’t question the scrupulous Seller about the additional EUR25 charge. If my husband wasn’t so tired, I would’ve had him return to the store to reclaim his EUR25. Normally, nobody messes with my hubby’s 6′ 4″ American frame. I, on the other hand am a small Asian American female. Just saying. Seller (owner?) appeared of Indian descent. Not trying to make this “a race issue”. I like ppl of all races, but…go figure. A rip off is a rip off. This Seller has no business ethics. Not cool. Our worst on shore sales experience…RUN from this merchant!

Stay far away from this place. I had an issue with my phone screen due to overheating and needed a fix immediately. The staff quoted me PS150 which already sounded too steep. I wasn’t sure if the quote was unfair so I asked the stores on the same street and was quoted cheaper prices. They said my phone would need a screen repair to get it back to working condition. Came back later in the day and they said the phone couldn’t be fixed and had to be sent off to be repaired a week later. I went into Fone World next door and they told me that the phone hadn’t even been
opened or looked at, they were able to fix my phone in 15 mins and for a better price too!! This place is a money hungry scam owned by liars, don’t waste your time !

Sadly my experience of this shop is not good. The staff are patronising and quote “their terms and conditions” as an excuse for failing to provide even a reasonable service. Their conditions do not override consumer laws and the rights this provides even though they try to make you believe otherwise. Repairs service is terrible, second-hand phone purchase – just run. Customer service disgusting. Be aware that if you pay cash but need a refund you will not see your money again. ADVICE – don’t use.
