Rip off!

My daughter’s laptop needed a new battery. My husband insisted we take the laptop to this shop and that’s what we did. The shop did not have the replacement battery and told us it would take 2 weeks to get one, so as we are in the era of Amazon, we said we would purchase one. They told us we can bring the new battery once it had arrived and it would take 2 hours to fit it, at a cost of PS40.

New battery was ordered and I left it with them to replace with my contact number just after 12pm. I returned just after 5pm and was informed we had purchased the wrong battery. No one called to give a heads up. However, just for the cost of opening the laptop, we were still charged PS40! If we had been told this was a flat fee whether the required work was successful or not, then we would have been able to make an informed decision whether to do business with them.

I think this totally outrageous and will definitely not be doing any kind of business with this shop again.

Very poor service. I put a laptop in for repair, which was kept for 2 weeks (with no communication) before returning to me to say that repair to motherboard could not be done. No quote for replacement motherboard was provided either.

The guy in the store then tried to sell me a second hand laptop instead.

He also managed to lose my power charger in the process and I had to go back into the store twice before it was returned to me.

I then put my laptop in for repair in another repair shop and the technician advised me that the previous repair attempted was completely shoddy and had damaged the motherboard beyond repair.

Overall, I would advise strongly not to use this company. Inefficient, poor quality and dishonest.

Very helpful. I run a lot of audio programs at once and my laptop couldn’t keep up. Took it in and the staff where friendly and advised to have a service and upgrade the ram. I wanted and was willing to pay for more ram than was needed. They told me not to waste my money on something I don’t need, being told this was refreshing. The total cost was very reasonable and my laptop now keeps up with all I put it through. It runs better than I imagined.
