SCAM ALERT!

This location is the biggest scam you can find in Pickering town center.

After we saw their add on Facebook market place, me and my wife went into this store on October 5th, 2021 at 6.05 pm. We where looking for a RCA 32 inch smart TV that was listed for $175.00 on Facebook market place.

Once we entered the store, 2 gentleman was sitting at the counter. I went and asked for the price for RCA 32 inch and he told me the price is $190.00

I told him my wife texted them on FB market to confirm if the TV was available, and that she saw the TV for $175.00 on October 5th before 6pm, and also had a screen shot.

My wife forgot her phone in the car and went out to get the phone so she could prove the screenshot. I kept an eye on one of the gentleman and he went to his computer and touch the keyboard. He removed the add with in 4 min and when my wife came back, the add was no longer on FB market place. We showed him the screenshot and his face changed.

He told me yesterday the price was $175.00 but today it went up to $190.00 Not sure if he thinks the TV is a stock that you can trade.

I wished him good luck and left the store. On the way out (enterance number 5) I saw the other sales guy loading TV from a 7 seat Honda van.

I’m not sure where these guys are getting the TV from, but they are definitely messing with the price, and trying to scam people.

This place is not recommended. We went to Oshawa factory direct which is 15 min away got same TV for $129.00 brand new.

We checked FB market place later, and he put back the add and changed the price.

I have purchased services from a number of people over the past 10 years. Some in flea markets, people working out of their basements and stores that sell Android boxes and services but know nothing about them.
In the past I have had problems with providers having to correct issues in person once a week, sometimes more often then that. It was a pain in the butt to wait until Sunday to got to the flea market and worse yet, having to drive across the city to go to a person’s home.

I have been a customer of Smartech for nearly two years. Hands down, they have been the most reliable with unmatched customer service.
Over nearly two years I have been to their physical store in the mall three times. They have also helped me correct issues twice over the phone during the Covid lockdown.
I highly recommend them!

My mother purchased a Phillips TV sold as “new”. Not only is it NOT NEW it was returned to Phillips for repair, then repackaged as brand new. Now she is stuck with a Smart TV that won’t move past the start up screen. The manager and his employees are useless and incompetents. The staff are rude and dismiss my complaint. DO NOT SHOP THERE. DO NOT TRUST THE 5 STAT REVIEWS FOR THIS COMPANY!!!!
