I took my Macbook Pro to change the battery. Had spoken to Ahmed to order it. The battery arrived later than I was told to start with, but that was OK, I didn’t mind. The chap took the computer in, didn’t check it at all and gave me only a visa receipt, no proper receipt. Told me it would be about an hour. Went back to collect and the door was locked with one of those “back in few minutes” signs. SO I had to pay to extend the car parking and come back after a while longer.
I took the computer home and followed the instructions to charge the battery overnight, but it was fully charged on about 3 hours.
Turned it on and noticed the keyboard and trackpad did not work.
I called them up and they said to bring it in the next day which was Saturday and I went in about 10.30am.
When I went back to collect the computer, I was told there was a fault as the keypad was not not working. I suggested few times that the trackpad ribbon flex cable might either be not connected properly or been damaged whilst the battery was being changed. He would not listen and belittled me with stating he had “been doing this for 15 years”. I found his lack of knowledge about the computer shocking as he said if the cable was faulty, why did the power button work – even I know as a non-technical person that the power key can still function!
He suggested I left the computer with him for a week so he can “investigate” the problem. I insisted it would be the cable, but he would not listen. I certainly was not going to leave the computer for a week! Or make another trip the folowing Saturday for someone else “to look at it”.
He wanted to complicate this by involving a “Mac” expert!
I totally lost my confidence!
When I got home, I ordered a trackpad cable for PS5.89 from Amazon and a screwdriver (P5) for PS3.99 and with a Youtube video’s aid, changed the cable in 10 minutes flat!
The computer keyboard and tackpad worked straight away!
I gave one star, but really would not have given any. Cost me 2 trips, parking and time and stressed me as I have some important work on the computer. Above all, he was arrogant and thought he knew best! If only he had listened, he would have sorted this on 5 minutes flat and I would have been happy. I would not have minded paying him for the cable too as I did point out to him that the early 2015 computer was notorious for this very problem – TWICE!
Also, used a cheap battery and when I asked if this had a feature of Automatic thermal, overload cut-off, he said batteries don’t have that!! Really!! He will find many of these on Amazon!! Joke!
If I’d taken his advice, I would have tomorrow been spending more time and money!
Anyway, I’ll not be going to Techno Zone again, or recommending them to anyone.
I would not trust their technical knowledge and the customer service was very poor.

Just went into the shop on the 14th of March. In the morning, the guy serving couldn’t care found him quite dismissive o
to the point of being quite arrogant. I wanted to just know if he was interested in buying my Samsung TV which was in perfect condition as I bought another bigger TV. There’s ways of dealing with people, which this guy needs a lot to learn !!!!! Politeness leaves. Good reviews rudeness leaves this kind of review work out which one is best!!!!
