We have an older Sony Stereo that has a dual cassette player as well as a three disk CD player along with a am/fm receiver. It has excellent sound quality, as it was designed and built back in the 80s when Sony was producing excellent products. Unfortunately, the CD disk player and the dual cassette player stopped working. We took the unit to a number of different repair shops but they failed to successfully repair our stereo. We were beginning to lose hope when we came upon TECHSONAR and spoke with Mathew. He was very personable and knowledgeable and provided us with a great deal of information and described what our options were concerning the repairs. We decided to put our beloved stereo in his hands for repair.

After having our stereo working very well for many months, I am happy to say that Mathew did an excellent job repairing our stereo, and for a very fair price.

Mathew also provided some free advice to my wife and me about options we could take ourselves concerning our dash cam that has stopped working.

Matthew and his team are the repair technicians i’ve been looking for. By far the best communication, service and fair pricing available for this specialized type of work. Extremely transparent with what costs will be. No confusion or the feeling you’re getting ripped off. Explained in detail after the assessment what was wrong with the device(s) and I was left feeling that my gear was in safe hands. 10/10 I dropped off 3 pieces of gear a sony walkman, a sony double cassette deck and a VCR/DVD recording combo unit and his team fixed them all and tested them for a week. On pick up he went through each device and showed me them working. The amount of piece of mind that provides you when leaving is priceless. I already have him working on more items and TECHSONAR will be my go-to for all repairs going forward. Don’t get ripped off by the hipsters in the west end repairing analog gear- head deep into scarborough for value, service and quality work.

Can’t thank Matthew and his team enough. My 80+ year old vintage radio/turn table is up and running again. I’m so thrilled! Spinning the vinyls again is totally awesome.
