visted the shop in the morning inquiring about repairing my PC after having a short conversation with the person in the store (wasnt very welcoming or engaging) he seemed very adament the problem was the motherboard and wasnt giving light on any other possibilities.

This was a red flag to me as i had explained the PC was failing to boot which is typically the connections, Ram or PSU. So took a risk and brought a PSU myself as the diagonstic fee (PS65) would of been half the price of a new PSU (PS125 reduced from PS165) anyways.

Having replaced the PSU my PC came back to life and booted fine, thus if i had trusted this shop with my PC i hope the same root cause would of been found and i wouldnt have been taken advantage of instead but i can only be optmisstic about that.

All in all my advice is to trouble shoot the problems yourself and if you dont have the parts on hand then amazon has a great return policy this should give you the confidence to attempt a repair yourself.

Not gonna lie feel a bit conned by my experience with this shop, I popped in with my son and my laptop which wouldn’t turn on.

I had tried a work around but couldn’t get it to fire up so went in for some advice as I only needed it to turn on as i explained I had a file on there I wanted to get off and it was an old laptop.

The owner didn’t engage and took the laptop off me and put it on the side with some other laptops and then asked for PS65. I said I only needed it to turn on and he said that is the rate. No questions asked or any advice.

I paid and then got a text saying it would cost a further PS120 or there is a work around, the same work around that uses a Paper clip.

I said would you still take the full PS65 and he said yes, I get this is a business but he could of helped me for a lot less and get repeat business but rather he’s fooled me once but never again.

So if you have a Lenovo laptop try the pair clip before wasting your money in this store.

I took my 11 year old Dell laptop here, because I had read all the excellent reviews. I wasn’t disappointed! My laptop has come home gleaming. One of the shift keys had previously not worked and it does now. It isn’t anywhere near as hot when it’s running as it used to be. Because the work took so little time to complete (my laptop was surprisingly clean inside already) the lovely chap who had carried out the work wouldn’t charge me. I feel I owe it to the store to leave a review because it’s very rare to come across such wonderful and honest service these days! I am very grateful – thank you!
