You take them for granted until they don’t work. Turned on my One plus 8 pro phone only to find the screen wouldn’t open and the phone started uncontrollably vibrating. As we do i searched Google for a remedy without joy. Went to a local phone repair shop The Fone box thinking like we all do am I going to be stitched up, what is it going to cost?
Well what a lovely bunch of guy they were very honest and said that as its not a main string phone parts might not be easy to get along with being pricey.
Fabio one of the owners said leave the phone with me we will look over it, I asked how much? To my surprise I was told there isn’t a charge to investigate the faults.
I got a phone call later in the day from Fabio to tell me they can confirm the items that were not faulty and to pick the phone up.
On arriving Fabio went though all the test they had undertaken and said that there was one option available I believe he called it hard reboot at a cost of PS20 Fabio was very honest and in no way pushed it and gave me what he thought the chances of success were.
30 mins later my phone was working.

Bought a second hand phone from BackMarket not long ago and was already having problems with the phone. The screen was being pushed out and when I looked into sending the phone back to them they said it would be between 6-10days turnaround. Can’t be without the phone for that length of time due to hospital consultants needing to get in contact for my daughters, so decided to look for somewhere local to see if it could be fixed. That’s when I came across The Fone Box. Took it in and the really friendly owner took one look and confirmed the battery was swollen. Changed the battery and sorted it within the hour. Went back a second time for help with the same phone and he went above and beyond to get it sorted. Needless to say I won’t be going back to BackMarket for a refurbished phone and will visit The Fone Box instead. Quick service, really helpful and goes above and beyond. Highly recommend. What more could you want?

A few months ago I smashed my phone. I’d never used a phone repair shop before so was a little hesitant in regards to pricing and how quickly it coul be fixed. I called The Fone Box at 14:00 and asked if they were able to fit me in last minute as my iPhone 6s was smashed. They were very friendly and said that if I came in for 15:15 that they would be able to get it done by the time they closed for the day at 16:00. They told me to go for an explore (due to covid so I couldn’t stay in the shop), I went and grabbed a coffee and before I knew it, they were phoning me to say that my phone was done, MUCH faster than anticipated! They were incredibly friendly and professional, two lovely guys! I would definitely recommend them to family and friends.
