After taking my Macbook Pro with known charging port problems to a local competitor and watching them act like they didn’t even know how it should work when it wouldn’t boot due to lack of charge – I took it back from them and started my search for a different repair place who would not scare me with their level of incompetence toward Apple Products.

I found what I was looking for in TommyTech. I emailed them regarding my issue and they responded promptly and it was relatively easy for my partner to drop my machine off for them to look at, along with the notes I had sent.

I received an email shortly after drop-off, letting me know they had created an account for me on their ticketing system and logging the machine as being evaluated. This is a great touch for those of us who are anxious about leaving our machine somewhere.

The next day, I received a phone call and a ticket response letting me know they had looked it over fully, and what services they recommended – and once I told them to proceed – the repairs were done within a few hours and my machine was back home with me – fully functional, all data intact and basically looking like new.

I am so relieved and happy. I have AppleCare+ on the machine, but getting those repairs can take ages, or be otherwise massively inconvenient – and sometimes you just need things done as quickly and competently as possible.

Thank God for Tommy Tech! I took my laptop there on Saturday morning because I thought it had been scammed and compromised.

The lovely guy in Tommy Tech, who helped me earlier this year with the same laptop, happily took it from me and, while I went off shopping, he cleaned it up, sorted it out, and reinstalled my Bitdefender security, which had been conveniently removed. Thankfully, there wasn’t much damage done, just to my nerves!

Everything was all done and dusted in about an hour and a half – at no cost. Tommy Tech staff are so helpful, so professional and allround good guys! They’re my go-to people for annual service and problems. Fantastic service!
