I had a Google Pixel 7 with back camera glass that imploded. After contacting Google they acknowledged that the repair was under warranty and gave me the option to either mail it in to Google for repair or take it to uBreakiFix. Unfortunately I chose the latter. I brought the phone in to this place around January. After a week or so they called to inform me the repair was complete. Shortly after I realized the camera LED was not working. I returned and the tech who did the work said they did not have the cable for the LED when they reassembled the phone so he just put it back together and closed the ticket. He offered to fix it free of charge since it was incomplete work however they would have to order the cable. A week or so later I get the phone back. A couple of weeks later the screen fails. I return and the same tech looks at the phone. He concludes that water has entered the system due to a poor seal between the back of the phone and observes corrosion on the connector between the screen and ribbon cable. Once again he offers to replace the cable free of charge since the problem has been caused by poor sealing after the previous repair. This time the phone stays for close to 3 weeks. I have had the phone for a little over 2 months and 2 days ago the screen fails again in the same manner as before. I return once again and am informed by another tech that there is no record of the repairs in their system other then the initial camera glass repair back in January. Therefore this is a new standalone problem in their eyes and I will have to pay for any troubleshooting/repairs. Google refuses to help since I had the original work performed by this place so I am stuck with a poorly repaired phone that lasted less then 2 years. Buyer beware it is a game of Russian roulette on the completeness of repairs and how long they will last from this place and they will not honor their mistakes.

Asurion followed up after this review and after investigating my case, they made things right. I’m very surprised that a company would go to this length given the circumstances. I appreciate them taking the time to correct the problem.

My son cracked his phone screen and it was inoperable. We checked in online and showed up during our 1 hour window. They had a replacement screen in stocked and quoted a 2 hour repair time. They finished in 1! I have a happy teenager that didn’t need to pay for a full phone replacement!
