In my case, I have a rare and older but still very powerful laptop I use for work and I was in a terrible rut (as I needed to use it the next morning to travel to do a presentation). After a MS update several problems began (touche), including Office not activating, and the fan running constantly (but only within Win10 and not in Win7) so the machine was shutting down within seconds. It turns out another repairman had done a very poor job at using too little thermal paste and (not) putting back the screws on the heat-traps. Everything hardware-related was fixed within one hour, and on top of that the hinges of the screen were also repaired as a bonus, and so was the back casing (I did not ask for these because it was the least of my concerns at the time), and of course all software issues were looked into and fixed. The machine was given back to me like new. I am never going anywhere else for any computer needs except to Unison. Support this local business, they truly deserve it, and you won’t regret it – you’ll never go anywhere else again, be it for purchasing software or hardware, repairs or anything computer related.

I took my laptop to this repair shop because it had a black screen issue. After a diagnosis, they told me that a RAM stick and a fan needed to be replaced, and quoted me CAD 300 for the repair. I agreed. A week later, they called to inform me that the fan they ordered was incorrect and had to be returned and replaced. Another week passed, and they said the laptop was fixed. However, after using it for just an hour, the black screen issue reoccurred. I brought it back to them, and after a day, they admitted they couldn’t fix it. I ended up paying CAD 345 in total and was only refunded CAD 115, and only if I returned the new fan and RAM stick. Trust me, avoid this shop at all costs.

On recommendation I first went into Unison about 10 years ago.That’s when I first met Fred and Jeremy.Since then I bought two laptops and a desktop.They gave me excellent and honest service.I have been a customer ever since.Friday Nov.3 I had a problem with my 9 year old desktop.i dropped it off in the morning and Fred called in the afternoon and advised of the problem.He told me the system was good and was worth the repair as well as upgrading to Windows 10 .It was running Windows 7. Got my desktop back the next day.They did excellent
