CLEANLINESS- the first thing that hits you when you enter the store is the overwhelming smell of cigarettes, then you may notice that all the merchandise is covered with a film of grey dusty grime. My device was returned to me smelly and covered in greasy finger prints.
SECURITY – devices awaiting pickup or for repairs are strewn about the store front covering shelvings and chairs just beside the exit. Anyone could come in and throw a few in a bag at anytime. They appear to have no inventory system; as the delay would be longer than anticipated, I asked for my device. The employee looked at a few phones scattered around the store without and then told me he didn’t know where it was and so I couldn’t have it back. While I was there another customer was inquiring about her device. She had received a call about it being ready, but the employee could not locate it and said to call back in the evening when the technician was in. Unacceptable to not know where a customer’s phone is.
TIMELINESS – I called and was told the repaire could be done for the next day. I dropped it off and was told it would be most likely ready the next morning. When I returned, not only could he not find my device, he couldn’t tell me if the repaire was started and couldn’t give it back to me so I could take it somewhere else and then told me there was a large backlog and it would be 2-3 days. If I was informed of this when I called, or when I visited, I would have gone somewhere else. The device was ready in two days because I complained and it was prioritized.
QUALITY – I got a screen replacement for an iPhone. The quality is terrible. I was never told the replacement would mute all the colours and give a weird blue tint to the image. Very cheap aftermarket parts used. Not at all comparable to original image.
I had an issue with my computer not remoting into my work VPN and not wanting to link to the internet from any provider location. I work remotely for a Calgary company but I live in St-Zotique QC…it was 5pm in the evening and I was so stressed because I have a project tender closing on a high-rise tower tomorrow morning and I was unable to get our company IT guy to log in and fix the issue without my system allowing the internet.
Called on a whim to Valleyfix & a gentleman named Marc-Andre answered the phone…and answered my prayers. BEST customer service EVER!!! Said he was super busy but he was driving by my town and would stop by and grab my laptop and would help me out??? Seriously how crazy nice is that…couldn’t believe it!!!
Called me a few hours later and the whole thing was fixed. Had some viruses and the VPN link was creating issues with DNS address resetting redirecting to a false address created by the virus. He went above and beyond created a shortcut and took the time to show me how to resolve the issue. (Ha Ha don’t know all the techie terms so don’t judge people lol) All this done at 11:30 PM at night, that is service!!!
I own a Microsoft Surface Pro and not a lot of people are familiar or like to work with them.
One thing that really stood out aside from his kindness and knowledge (I deal with IT & Computer Techies often and for years) was his ability to speak in normal understandable terms and words and taking the time like I said to explain why, how and providing a resolution and walking me through it…seriously I have never had an experience like that.
I got this gent on speed dial!!! Priceless and a necessary contact for us all!!!
Got the laptop back after 2 weeks, opened it, the wires are just hanging around, SSD in the wrong slot and a burned connector to the motherboard. The screw from a fan is missing.
Overall terrible experience. Do not recomend.
