I’d originally taken my MacBook into one of the first places that appear when googling this sort of thing. I arrived and handed over my device, was asked for my passwords, they then marched me out the door with little communication, no paperwork and no receipt. Feeling uneasy, I drove back an hour later to take it back. I’m sure it was probably all absolutely fine but when you’re handing over something to a stranger that has access to nearly every part of your life, I wanted to feel a little more secure.

Having then found Jamie and Ver IT the difference was night and day. Jamie explained that firstly he wouldn’t be needing any passwords upfront from me, and instead just wanted to run some diagnostics to see what he thought the problem could be. Communication throughout was brilliant, Jamie offered me informed suggestions but left decisions to me, kept me updated on delivery times for parts, and even sent me the odd short video to update me on progress. At no point did I have any nagging doubts or anxious feelings, which in just one hour was all I’d felt with the previous company. A few days later he handed me back a perfectly repaired Mac, and it was as if nothing had ever happened to it.

Ver IT (and Jamie) really helped me out of a bind. They were fast and responsive and fixed my broken laptop screen promptly. They kept in touch with me thorough the process and sent me pictures of what they were doing. I had a couple of other issues that were found during the screen repair that we agreed to get fixed and it was all sorted clearly and quickly. I would definitely use Ver IT again for any IT issues I may have.
