Unbelievable shoddy service. After purchasing a Pay and Go handset for PS75 yesterday I couldn’t get a Network connection from the SIM provided so called Vfone only to be told that the SIM they sold me had no Number assigned (blank SIM) and I needed to return it and get a swap.

Day after, on arriving in store, I explained the SIM had no Number etc and the young female assistant (who not once made eye contact btw) asked me straight off for my phone number (erm???). Got through finally after about 45min of her asking repeat questions (she spent 5 mins trying to fit a large size SIM into the small micro SIM slot!) was told the only way to get my new phone working was to pay another PS10 for another SIM and that was that.

What!! At this point I asked for a refund and the Manager joins in getting me to one side. After explaining everything again (and here is where things get silly) he told me the best he could do (this town centre Vfone Manager, with hundreds of SIM cards at his fingertips) was to “give me a pound (not from the till, but from his pocket incidentally) so I could walk to the Poundshop and buy a SIM from them, bring it back, and he’d then get my phone working”all said in a tone like he was doing me a favour.

Don’t know why but this I did and he inserted the SIM and with a ‘there you go’ wink I was served. A couple of hours on and fuming I didn’t tell him where to go, this is, with no doubt whatsoever, the worst experience ever, I’ve ever had, buying a handset.

Back to O2 next time me thinks.

Been with Vodafone for many years and phone is well overdue an upgrade, so called in here this morning. Staff were rude and unhelpful. Previously when upgrading I have just needed my phone, bank card and driving licence with me, however the girl that I spoke to said she needed my account pin number, I explained I didn’t know it as I never log on to the Vodafone app. Her” well reply take a guess”. I said never mind I will go elsewhere. At which point staff said text pac to this number as I was leaving the shop. Customer service is non existent, just because I am older generation doesn’t mean that I should have to feel humiliated. I am sure that my account could have been accessed with my number and other details but it appears that was too much trouble, staff obviously had to get back to chatting with each other. I certainly would not recommend this place. I went next door into O2 and the service was great. They sorted my pac code out for me and I left with my new phone. What difference in the two shops.

I’ve been with vodafone for years now. Never had any issues (other than general signal issues but thats to be expected) until… I learn’t that “contract ends xx/xx/xxxx” does not mean that the contract has ended. I have overpaid cPS400 for a deal that I haven’t used for 5 months as I’ve had a sim only (I thought I had upgraded the sim and therefore the payments would change – which was explained over the phone to customer service) NOPE! Been paying for a Phone (which had been paid off) and 2 sim deals. Rang them up to discuss this and got told that it is in the contract that you HAVE to speak them to terminate/disconnect. Tried to find the contract where that is said but have lost that (typical on my end). I asked if it could be resent and they quickly said NO… I tried to go through “My Vodafone” and you can’t access that on anything either. Ultimately, they’ve had PS400 from me for free and I also have to pay ANOTHER month for a phone which doesnt work – Great Service it really is…
