Firstly i got told a date in which a technician would come round to my house to inspect the TV. This date got pushed on by two days.
Once they finally came to inspect the TV, they came to the conclusion that it needed to be taken to the workshop, which is fair enough. After nearly a week i gave them a call as i had heard nothing, only to be told they hadn’t even looked at the TV yet. They then said they shall give me a call with an update the following day once they had looked at it. No call was made.
Once they had determined the problem they then said they needed to order the parts which would take 2-3 days and once received they would fit the parts and get the TV back to me straight away the same day.
4-5 days later i had heard nothing yet again. I rang and got told the parts hadn’t arrived yet and once again they told me when they do the shall fit them and deliver the TV the same day.
The following day i got a call saying the parts had arrived but they needed another part which had to be ordered and told me the whole when arrived you shall get your TV back the same day.
I then get a call from them saying the TV is fixed and i Shall be given a call in 2-3 days in order to arrange when is best for me to have the TV delivered. This was after be specifically told me more than once i would have it back the same day it would be fixed!
2 days later i get the call and arrange a time which suits me best to receive the delivery of the TV. I receive the TV The day after.
I take it into the living room and plug it in. When the TV is turned on i can hear distortion from the speakers, an echoey sound. Along with that the screen is flickering from black to color and now has a white blur over the screen. The TV is a heck of a lot worse.
Now i have never had a service from any company in Yorkshire where they consistently mess you around with deadlines for a lengthy period of time to only go and make your initial problem worse which you put your complete trust in them to fix in the first place!
I would not rec commend this disgrace of a multi media service to anybody as i feel i have been taken for a ride massively by everyone who i have dealt with along this horrible process.
Shocking service that really does need sorting out!
After reporting this to John Lewis they agreed to replace the TV altogether for a new one so a happy ending to a bad experience.
Can’t understand why any big company would use these people for warranty repairs and risk their reputation!!!!
