I had my daughter’s Nintendo Switch Lite control stick repaired back in January 2024. Recently, the control stick just fell right off of the system. I checked on the website and it said that they had a 1 year warranty for work done except for water damage. I brought the device back in to have it fixed, but they did not honor the warranty.

They stated that this was physical damage and that the warranty did not cover it. Apparently, they have some fine text that allows for “exclusions” that gives them the ability to exclude essentially whatever they want, which makes the warranty useless. They wanted me to pay for another repair, which I would not do as two repairs would cost the same as a new system.

I’m extremely disappointed with the quality of the repair and the lack of empathy or care for the situation. The staff person also sarcastically told me to “Have a nice day” as my back was turned and I opened the door to leave the store, which was not appreciated as I had not treated him rudely despite my displeasure with the situation.

I will not be returning to this store for any future repairs and will be advising family and friends to avoid it as well, which is a shame as I had better experiences in the past.

Stay away. My screen was cracked so I started a claim to have it repaired here. After the repair I began to notice that I could no longer look at the phone screen for any longer than 5 minutes before my vision got blurry. As I tested this comparing to my wifes and sons phone which are all the same phones. we all noticed that my phones screen caused blurry vision now. When it did not before the repair. I purchased a new phone today and no vision issues at all. This company can not be trusted to repair phones with the correct replacement parts and the practices they’re using to cheat the consumer will cause someone permanent harm. I’m sharing this experience with the FTC and States attorney for investigation and possibly a class action lawsuit. This review will also serve as evidence. Look for this issue after repair and if you notice it as well write the review and contact the states attorney/FTC. There may also be help available through the FCC.

The service I received at UBreakiFix was phenomenal!!! They did what “Best Buy” would not do for me which was repair the screen of my Late Mother’s Hewlett Packard Laptop. Also, their hospitality was “Top Notch!” They helped to program my brand new Galaxy Fold android cellphone for free so I could use it with more ease. I am sold on ubreakifixit, period!!!!!
