Fix that Mac in Berkeley | Best Phone, Laptop, and Computer Repair Services at Affordable Prices | Quick Fixes

Leia is INCREDIBLE. First, I took my mac to another repair shop in Berkeley. The other store charged me $40 for a diagnostic and quoted me $500 to clean up a liquid spill that I didn’t even know that I had. Before spending $500, I went to the apple store. They told me they don’t work on my model of computer anymore, and that I should be lucky to have anyone work on it for $500. Then I brought it to Fix that Mac. The first thing Leia said is, “I can’t believe [the other store] charged you for a diagnostic.” Then, all for *free*, she took my machine apart right in front of me and walked through the steps that would be necessary to fix my computer, and reviewed some different options for how to move forward. Not only did she quote me less than $500, but she explained the exact costs for every part that might need to be replaced. In the end, only two out of three parts she had identified needed replacing, and I only had to pay around $300. In case that weren’t enough, Leia accommodated my holiday schedule and finished my repair within a DAY so that I could pick it up before going out of town.

Not surprisingly, a female-owned business is better than all of the competition, including apple itself. Thank you so much, I am so grateful!!!!!

UPDATE 19APR2021:

The care and speed with which my issue was handled left nothing to wish for. I think all told the whole process took less time than I expected. The cost was far less that I feared. Leia was quick and helpful and informative. She dispatched my issue with a competent professionalism one rarely finds anywhere nowdays.

I will return here for service for as long as I live in the area.

Thank you Fix That Mac for restoring my confidence in my aging but still awesome machine. Keep up the stellar work.

These guys are great. They gave me a quick, no-nonsense quote and performed the services they promised in more than a reasonable amount of time. Additionally, they saved me quite a bit of money by replacing a worn cable instead of the airport board that I was convinced had failed.
So they’re honest and straightforward. I’ll feel at ease the next time my MBP acts up knowing that they’re nearby and eager to help.

Took my macbook pro here for a battery replacement. They did it quickly and efficiently. Unfortunately, 9 months later the battery started acting up again. They took it back and replaced it for no fee. Their customer service was stellar and they had super quick turn around; even cleaned up my touchpad that was sticking without me even asking. Could not be happier – will definitely take my mac back here if I ever need to again.
