I just wanna start by saying the Employee Martianna (I think was her name) was really nice and extremely helpful and this review does not reflect on her or her customer service provided whatsoever.

My husband and I came in to purchase a stereo for my vehicle. We already knew the fit and have speakers purchased.

I had asked about how much it would be just to have my stereo pulled out, not the new one installed just the old one pulled out because It had some special keys that unlock it from the harness. They informed us it would be 130$ JUST to have the radio pulled out which is absolute insanity (and we ended up getting it out ourselves in about 10 minutes in the parking lot anyways.)

We browsed around, found what we wanted, and Martianna was extremely helpful in getting it down and ringing us up. They did not have the Dash Kit for my vehicle in stock but she ordered it for us. After checking everything out she informed us we had a free installation and even though I can do it myself I figured out of convenience I would see about it. The Geek Squad man came up to her and told us they would not do it without the 160 DOLLAR WIRING HARNESS. I explained to him I have installed a stereo into my other vehicle myself and did not need it. He had an extremely poor attitude, quoting “you’re GOING to need one. it’s for the buttons on the steering wheel.” My vehicle doesn’t even have buttons on the steering wheel, and this man literally sat and argued with me about MY VEHICLE. We did not purchase the absurdly priced wiring harness, because LO AND BEHOLD, we didn’t need it. Even if we had needed it, they are 25$ at autozone.

The stereo works great, and we did it ourselves for free as originally planned.

The lightskin geek squad guy needs some serious customer service skills. Idk if they’re making commissions off of selling stuff I don’t need, but he was extremely rude. Avoid that guy at all costs cuz he will argue with you about your own vehicle and talk down to you like you know nothing.

Wow! I literally had the best experience! For starters, I hadn’t been in Best Buy in years! I live out of state and was visiting family. As my son and I walked inside, I was on the phone and didn’t realize the store was closed. The employees by the door alerted me, and I apologized and began to walk out. However, my son and I were disappointed because I was there to find him a charger that we couldn’t find elsewhere. A man named Tim, who had to be a manager, stepped in and said “How may we help you?” I told him we needed an “old school charger” and he asked if we had the device we were trying to charge…now, we had to run back to the car and get it. Not only did he help us find the charger, but he opened it to make sure it fit our device. My son and I were so happy and thankful because great customer service isn’t always easy to come by. I’m so happy to write this review, and I pray Tim (please be the right name) is richly blessed for his kindness and professionalism.

Was met at the door by several team members standing in a circle chatting. They at least bothered to turn their attention to me when I paused beside them, but when I told them the exact item I was looking for, the young gentleman who answered just swept his hand in a general motion and told me to check “over there” in the gaming section. Couldn’t find it after several minutes of looking on my own. No other employee nearby to flag down. Decided to just leave and look elsewhere since it was clear they couldn’t be bothered to help me in the first place. Was not followed up with when I passed them again empty handed on my way back out the door.
