What a wonderful visit to the local Apple store in Leawood. NOT!!! Made appointment online for something called shop by appointment to have my phone looked at .1st mistake that i made was something called Genuis Bar to make an appointment and i was going through the process it did not seem right but i made a time to visit. Called the customer Service first thing the next morning to make sure i had done everything correctly and was told by the agent to go ahead and keep the appointment and they will take of us. This is where the FUN begins! Arrived about 15 minutes early to get phone looked at and was that we did not have an appointment and once we showed our SMS message then we were told we had the wrong appointment and the customer Service agent should not have told us that it would be ok. This is where the Manger called “John” told us it was our mistake and what he couldn’t Do with a Very Negative and Demeaning tone. We were not trying to cut the line or make others wait just an understanding of the situation. Then rudely stated we have 2 choices either make a walk-in appt or reschedule. I know we live were customer satisfaction is not valued but a little Empathy and Compassion goes a long way!

DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY AT THIS APPLE STORE !

I went to exchange an iPhone I bought, but the store staff refused to transfer my data from my old phone to the new one. They claimed that once they took my returned iPhone, it was no longer mine.
I explained that someone had previously helped me transfer data during a similar situation, but they still refused. I saw another customer who was allowed to transfer their data without any issue.

I felt discriminated against by the staff ( a young black lady ) , and the manager. They were rude and made fun of me. I will not return to this Apple Store at all.

Apple support told me to come here for a phone diagnostic.
When I got to the store; they basically told me that my phone is shot, that it would be $400+ to fix or that I needed a new phone, without even looking at it or giving it a diagnostic.
They wanted to talk me into buying the new iPhone15 “because my phone wasn’t worth fixing.”
Uh seriously?
Update: I just got it repaired for $100 instead. Apple is insane. I can’t believe how scammy this store is.
If you’re having any device issues; ANYWHERE else is more trust worthy than this place.
