I came in a few weeks ago because I needed an inexpensive, basic laptop to get me through the summer because the one I had quit working. I had planned to wait until semester started to invest in a higher grade one for the work I’d be doing. I told the guy that I was just looking and would get him if I had questions. He proceeded to interrogate me on what laptop I was looking for, what kind of work I’d be doing with it, etc. I felt very uncomfortable and irritated because I did not ask for, nor did I want his help or opinions at that point. He insisted I hear him talk about all the newest AI technology in the latest laptops even though I have no interest in AI. I felt pressured to make a choice. I ended up with a brick of a laptop that is too heavy to carry around campus, and is a significant downgrade from the one I had before. I am unhappy with it, but I am stuck with it because I can’t afford to go for a smaller one now that I’ve spent almost 1000 on this one. Someone needs to tell the employees there that women who come into the store are capable of making decisions for themselves without being pressured into it, and we don’t need everything mansplained to us.

I went in with a fan problem on my laptop. It was making a loud buzzing sound whenever it ran. They just told me there was nothing I could do and if I wanted to replace the fan through them it would be $250. I ordered replacement fans from Amazon for 20 dollars, and when I was going to replace them I found out that the fan wasn’t even the problem. There was just a piece of paper stuck between the fan and the key. That was it!! Asking for 250?? are you kidding me?!

Even if you aren’t tech savvy, a quick Google search will save you from wasting hundreds of bucks and a huge headache instead of coming here.

Bought a couple of things from this store like a curved screen, webcam, and an Apple Watch over time. Yesterday was probably the last day I foot in this store. The advantage of a physical store over an online one is a more customized buying experience and being able to try things out on the spot. I don’t feel like I can do either of those in this store because of staff either not being available or not showing up.
