Only buy appliances here if you can get a good deal. Thankfully I got a decent deal, but I am not so sure that any money saved is worth the aggravation. Based on my experience, you should expect to have a less-than-stellar experience at this store. This has been the worst retail experience I have had in a long time, if not ever.

I bought a stackable washer and dryer and was very specific when I mentioned that the machines needed to be stacked. Despite mentioning this to the associate, he didn’t add a stacking kit to the order. I returned to the store a couple of days later to resolve this, but I was given the wrong stacking kit, which was discovered during installation. This was wasted trip #1. I went back to the store again (wasted trip #2) to try to resolve this issue and was not given any apology. Store customer service told me I could get the correct stacking kit shipped to me as it wasn’t in stock at the store, but the manager REFUSED to waive the shipping fee even though this issue was caused by store staff incompetence. However, I could make a 3rd trip to the store on my dime to avoid the shipping charges.

Since store staff basically appeared to be refusing to correct their mistakes, I ended up purchasing the correct stacking kit from Lowe’s, then I called the main customer service number to make an appointment to have the installers come back next week. The initial delivery people also marked everything as being delivered, but never gave me the hoses/dryer plug/other accessories needed to hook everything up. I relayed this to customer service but I don’t hold high hopes that the next set of installers will bring these items with them. I fully expect this fiasco to continue and will likely need to cancel the entire order and buy somewhere else.

This is what happens when kids are allowed to run the store and also what happens when a company couldn’t care less about providing even minimal customer service.

Do NOT shop at Dedham Best Buy! We waited a lengthy time for only cashier to be through with customer ahead of us. Both the employee and the customer were sitting on stools. Finally, I think his name was ‘David’, (name not on receipt, should be, plus sized guy), said ‘Can I help you?’ … I’ve worked in retail, I would’ve said ‘Sorry for the wait, how’re you doing today?” I’d also smile. David did none of these courtesies … We purchased a DVD/Blu Ray player. He did not offer us a bag. I asked for a bag. He gave one that was too small for the box. I asked ‘Do you have a larger bag?” David said ‘It fits’. The box stuck out higher than the bag. David neglected to say ‘thank you’. We left and will never spend money there again. David is totally wrong for this job … Before the purchase, finding a salesman then asking for advice on the product was futile. After the purchase, going on Best Buy’s website and calling the store directly each led to dead ends. There is no customer service. Transaction was on 8/28/2024

Went into day to get a new screen protector to be put on and waited 20 mins for someone to come over and help (was confirmed over there earbud system that someone was available to help). Spoiler alert no one can over to help there was about 20 employees working and 2 at the cash register. Suffice to say I would really like a job there so I can stand around and chat all day with my co workers, I think I’m pretty qualified to stand and talk.
