Lesson for the day – Never do Best Buy phone trades. Use a better, functional service. Bought a Pixel 9 for $799 with the promotional trade amount of $799 for an iPhone 12. (About $500 of this would be a subsidy from Google for “winning” an iPhone trade.) According to this store, the circled scratches on my photo on an otherwise flawless phone constitute “screen damage” and reduced the trade value from the subsidized 799 to… $72. LMAO. I’ve traded several phones with these subsidy programs and never had a single problem. Never again, Best Buy. I’ll stick to Google, Samsung, Apple and other trade programs that actually work.

I purchased an Open Box MacBook online and picked it up in this store. The website only indicated scratches and dents. However, when I opened the box the charging cord was missing. When I obtained a charging cord, I powered it on and there was no OS. I returned the laptop and found one store member helpful, but a supervisor who was called over was rather curt, especially when I noticed the missing part (she pointed out the label to me and I had to explain about the website issue). O would not trust this location again.

Josiah is the man! Knows his stuff and always comes in clutch with the best recommendations. We ask a ton of questions and it’s always nice when he tells you his professional opinion based on the questions we ask. Some other cats in there will say “well based off looks I’d go this one” or “I’m not sure I use something else”. That’s not really what we asked, but ok. Next time we run into Josiah we will see what days he works so we can come in when he’s there. He’s the best!
