Been a best buy total member for several years now. Had a line develop in my samsung tv I bought less than 4 months ago. After contacting geek squad and being told first of all “Thank you for being a best buy total member.” I was asked 4 separate times if I had geek squad protection and a warranty…. Well that’s part of what I pay for with my Total membership I thought. WRONG- you need to call samsung after we spend 30 mins questioning your legitimacy after it’s confirmed. At this point I now have to contact samsung care. Which I am told that they will actually be the ones to reach out to samsung and submit my ticket. This is my 3rd conversation now… The new email says it could take ten business days after the initial email and conversation said it could take 48 hours. I will never buy a samsung product again. I will drop my total membership and start buying online for all my electronic needs. Because you basically get the same amount of help. This is part of the reason physical stores are going out of business. CUSTOMER CARE IS NOT A PRIORITY! LIP SERVICE IS WHAT YOU GET. BUT BEWARE YOU WILL HAVE TO DO MOST OF THE LEG WORK AND BE TRANSFERRED AROUND ALOT TO GET WHAT YOU ACTUALLY PAY FOR, WHICH APPARTENTLY IS TO CONTINUALLY BE TRANSFERRED AND QUESTIONED AFTER YOUR VERIFIED. I’ve had only exceptional experiences at this Best Buy. Every worker I have talked to were friendly and helpful. Particularly the Security guy at the front and the audio installer guy. I had car audio done and they were knowledgeable and did a great job and a pleasure to do deal with. I also was able to take advantage of their great price match policy. It was super easy and more convenient than the leading online retailer. All in all, there is no replacement for great customer service and these guys deliver.
Was completely ripped off at this Best Buy after spending $6000. Received a damaged washer and dryer. Jumped through the hoops of calling their main line and having to speak with reps in foreign countries. Was promised the manager of the store would call me- never happened. Was promised a gift card- never happened. Best Buy has truly gone down hill. Horrible experience and I will never be back. All they care about is the initial sale and nothing else.
