Rarely do I ever have to complain because most places I go to I get excellent service.
However, at the Bloomingdale Best Buy, their customer service has declined rapidly.
They never have a problem taking my money or selling me warranties but now whenever I have an issue with something that I have purchased, I get the third degree on everything and no service.
I purchased a stereo receiver 10 months ago. It quit working. I took it to the store to see .what they could do to either repair it or replace it with another new one.
I was not even allowed to go to the customer service desk. They told me under no circumstances do they take walk-ins. I needed to set up an appointment and it would be four days before there would be an appointment available.
I said, perhaps it would be best if I just start making my purchases with another business instead of Best Buy. All they did was stand and look at me. No responses. If this is the way, they are training their people, Then management obviously has issues as well.
With the type of employment that I have I Deal with the public all day long. I know and meet enough people during the day that I can let them know exactly how they will be treated when they go to Best Buy in Bloomingdale.
I see from the other reviews concerning the Best Buy in Bloomingdale that the issues are never resolved. They definitely need to change the name of their business because it certainly should not be called Best Buy!

Avoid buying open box electronics at this location. Bought an excellent condition open box sound bar online that said it would come with all original packaging and accessories. Called the store in the early afternoon to confirm it was in stock because it was an hour drive to get there. Man on the phone repeated that the excellent condition one would come with all accessories and be in near-new condition. So I drive an hour to get there, they bring me the soundbar wrapped in bubble wrap and no box or accessories. I tell them that the listing online said it should come with everything. They wanted to immediately just do a refund and hope Id just leave. Long story short, the manager (?) comes and offers to try to find the accessories.. Gave me a third party adapter, and a Sony remote that wasn’t even the remote that the soundbar should come with and made a comment how “it’s cheaper, so that’s why it didn’t come with it.” Not true because I talked to another location who had the same item and condition they said it should be in box with everything. If the unit was defective, no other Best Buy would accept me bringing in a soundbar advertised as certified excellent that wasn’t in packaging along with a bunch of random accessories. Felt very scammy. Frustrating experience and a big waste of time.
Yesterday, I went in to Best Buy to exchange my ear buds. After completing that process, I decided to check out the gaming systems. I looked around and then was greeted by Omar. I asked him what he recommended and he told me what system he liked. He gave the features and also offered the lowest price. I decided to buy it. He checked to make sure they were in stock and recommended games. He was very helpful and informative. He even carried the system out to the car because I was in a wheelchair. If you need help with electronics, Omar is the guy to see. He gives excellent service and is very knowledgeable. Thanks for the help Omar.
