Specifically for Geek Squad, the rest of the store is fine.
If you have any knowledge of Computers, DO NOT COME HERE FOR REPAIRS.
Myself and a friend, who have been trained for computer maintenance, determined that the problems I was having with my desktop was probably “CPU or Motherboard,” but wanted to get it checked by a professional company to make sure. Not only did the diagnosis (Which was $110 after tax) take twice as long, but the diagnosis they gave back was “CPU or Motherboard.” The tech also did not call me, which they did admit was their fault.
I went in and complained, and asked for a half refund (Since I acknowledge that some work went into it) but was told that if I wanted a better diagnosis I should have “Brought my own CPU or Motherboard for the technician to try.” Huh? But if I had that, I would have just asked you to repair it?
I still asked for my refund which they refused, so I left.
Would give a 0/5 if I could, honestly, good customer service could have fixed all of this.

Bought a TV that didn’t have screws for the feet, the TV fell over and the screen no longer worked. I called Best Buy online to make sure the TV was covered by the warranty I purchased. I was assured the TV was covered under warranty and the store could replace it for me. I arrived to the store for my scheduled appointment time only to be told they in fact could not replace the TV for me. It was a waste of my time, money and energy. You would think a multi million dollar company would be able to hold to their word they first gave the customer and replace my 50 dollar TV I purchased WITH a warranty that THEY sold to me without screws for thr TV feet. Spend your money elsewhere, they don’t care about their members or their customers or the money they spend at their store.
Employees really need to be informed on how credit card work especially store credit cards.. I was told mine expired after a year of inactive use which made absolutely 0 sense to me. So! Was told to reapply as if it was some new policy. Ran my credit just to be told I already had a store credit card which I told the guy and showed him and he said it was useless. Hit my credit report for NO REASON. Thanks a lot. Customers are apparently to stupid right? We don’t know how credit cards work? Credit cards don’t just close after a year of inactivity. Card holder closes the account. Educate yourself.
